  • Yes! Our service best falls under Core - Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation.

  • NDIA Managed clients are required to make adjustments to their plan in order to use their funding for our service. Please send an email to bec@pathfindersports.com.au & we will provide you with more information on what’s involved.

    Alternatively, you can opt to pay for our service without using NDIS funding.

  • At this stage, Pathfinder services clients in the Perth Metropolitan area only. We look to expand to the rest of WA in future, so please contact us with an expression of interest if you would like to be notified!

    • We have completed research on impairment-specific pathways on almost 70 sports (& counting).

    • We are in regular contact with Inclusive Sport Coordinators at State Sporting Associations, who keep us in the loop with state & national programs, squads & events.

    • We have a database of international sporting events that are impairment-specific (e.g. Deaflympics), inclusion-specific (e.g. World Para Athletics Championships), & integrated with able-bodied events (e.g. Commonwealth Games).

    • We work with key disability groups to ensure our clients are aware of the various opportunities to participate & compete in sport. These organisations include Special Olympics WA, Paralympics Australia, Commonwealth Games Federation, Sport Inclusion Australia, Disability Sport Australia, WA Disabled Sports Association, Rebound WA, Blind Sports Australia, Deaf Sports Australia, & Short Statured Sports Australia

  • Our rate is calculated using the NDIS Pricing Arrangements & Pricing Limits. Pathfinder’s service comes under Core - Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation: Assistance to Access Community, Social and Recreational Activities.

  • No, we specialise in consultancy only. We would be happy to recommend some wonderful organisations who offer this service!

  • Our service is available to individuals & families living in Perth, Western Australia. We are mobile, providing consultation at your home, online, at a local café or our favourite, Good Juju Café in Claremont!

  • Pathfinder makes recommendations based on the information collected in our questionnaire & during the first consultation.

    This includes the client’s interests, preferred environment, impairment, capacity, goals & motivation for participating in sport.

    We do not carry out any physical testing to Talent ID clients, though we may be able to make some recommendations on where you can go for this type of assessment.

  • No. We are committed to offering unbiased advice, making recommendations that are in the best interest of the client only. We represent our clients, & do not work for any other organisation or group.
